Budget 2023-24 - Social security

Social security There is a large headline increase in the forecast for social security spend, from £4.2 billion in 2022-23 to £7.3 billion in 2027-28. In 2026-27, the final year of the forecast produced in December 2021, the SFC now expects that social security spending in Scotland will be £1.4 billion higher than had previously been expected.
