The Scottish Government continues to seek clarity from the UK Government about its plans to avoid medicine stock shortages in the event of a no deal Brexit.
Research by Dr Andrew Hill of the University of Liverpool has observed that, if we had to pay for medicines at the same per capita rate as the USA, medicines prices could more than double.
Another recent investment includes a £15 million contribution to the new medicines manufacturing innovation centre, which will support the efficient and safe production of new medicines.

These funds have been fully used to provide food, medicine and shelter for displaced people in Gaza.We provided a further £250,000 to the Disasters Emergency Committee, Mercy Corps and SCIAF in November 2024.
