Extending the small business bonus to help a further 4,000 businesses, expanding the incentives for business to help regenerate our high streets and keeping the cost of business rate increases below inflation deliver on this Government’s commitment to give Scottish businesses a competitive advantage over their UK counterparts and maintain Scotland’s position as the best place to do business. This marks the start of the normal consultation process with local government on the provisional 2014-15 revenue allocations and, once confirmed, I will bring the final figures to Parliament in the local government finance order 2014 early in the new year.
