I am pleased to welcome Alex Neil MSP and John Farquhar Munro MSP, who are not members of the committee but who have an interest in the issue and have lodged amendments.
The question is partly about culture. I know that MSPs are inundated with material, but I want to mention a COSHEP publication that we sent to all MSPs a short time ago, called "Including Me".
The Minister for Rural Affairs and the Natural Environment, Mairi Gougeon MSP said in Parliament on 4 June 2020, that the Scottish Government is currently reviewing goose management schemes and working with NatureScot to explore what future schemes might look like.
The comments that I made earlier would apply to that situation. I accept that MSPs have the right at the moment to attempt to annul or block an instrument.
The proposal to introduce the bill was supported by 75 MSPs from all parties and none, which at that stage was a record level of support for any proposed member's bill.
