The Coronavirus Act 2020 (Alteration of Expiry Date) (Scotland) Regulations 2022 (S.S.I. 2022/40) extend the expiry date of certain provisions of the Act, including schedule 19, to 24 September 2022.

Under section 28(2) of the Interpretation and Legislative Reform Scotland Act 2010, instruments that are subject to the negative procedure must be laid at least 28 days before they come into force, not counting recess periods of more than four days.
However, the current substantial programme of upcoming work for the Committee, combined with the reduced number of meetings available between now and summer recess means that the Committee’s immediate capacity is significantly reduced.
