Pre-release Access – Committee Bill proposal report - Strand 1
Without getting into the detail at this stage of how this strand would be addressed on the face of a Bill, we note that the 2008 Order is made under Section 11 of the Statistics and Registration Service Act 2007, which makes it clear that the rules and principles that may be made in such an Order include “the circumstances in which, or descriptions of statistics in relation to which, pre-release access may or may not be granted”.
