The Crown Estate in Scotland comprises a wide range of assets including rural estates, rights to fish wild salmon and sea trout in river and coastal areas, rights to naturally occurring gold and silver across most of Scotland, some moorings, ports and harbours, the seabed out to 12 nautical miles (nm), the rights to offshore renewable energy and gas, carbon dioxide storage out to 200 nm and business property in Edinburgh.
