It tells us twice that an independent Scotland could not have bailed out the Scottish banks. It also advises us all to open accounts with London-based banks, so that we can get our money out of Scottish banks quickly after a yes vote.
We further call on the Scottish Government, in bringing forward those same
regulations, to address the potential time gap in eligibility for reimbursement
between the proposed cut-off date of 12 July 2021 and the actual date when
contracts with independent providers of mesh removal surgery are ultimately
concluded.

As noted in the letter from the Scottish Government to the Presiding Officer dated 15 June 2021, the careful work required on this issue was delayed to divert necessary resource to addressing the harms associated with the pandemic.
The committee made some trenchant criticisms and, in my view, good recommendations when it conducted its inquiry into the NPF in 2022, and we are here in 2024 saying very similar things.
Amendment 63 will clarify the timescale within which an authority must establish a catchment area for schools that are providing Gaelic-medium education provision at the time when section 20 comes into force. The timescale will run from the date on which section 20 comes into force.
