You will find that that is also an expectation of the “Scottish Regulators’ Strategic Code of Practice”. I have a couple of points to make from a practical point of view.

Does the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs have a view on how the “Groceries Supply Code of Practice” has worked to support food producers and farmers?
I back Maurice Corry’s view that we should close the petition, because a professional code of conduct and legislation that can deal with the issue that the petition raises are in place.
I agree with amendment 27, which relates to the outdoor access code and deer management. The outdoor access code was introduced as a result of the Land Reform (Scotland) Act 2003 and published in 2005.
We have a standard approach when we develop codes of practice: we draft a code internally, seek views from stakeholders, review the draft code, amend it as appropriate and ensure that it is in plain English.
