Paragraph 44 of the LCM also states that whilst the Scottish Government is sympathetic to these changes, there is an intention to legislate in this area prior to the Scottish Parliament election in 2026 and this will allow any Scottish legislation to take account of any issues raised in adoption of these provisions.
