I would like to ask the Highlands MSPs and the people who participated in the workshops what developments in niche tourism markets have been achieved in the area.
However, you say that you have"met with Ministers, MSPs and Scottish Executive officials".Do you feel that you have not had enough opportunity for such meetings to put your points across?
The benefits of that work should be apparent in the next 12 months. As an Ayrshire MSP, I consider very closely the reports that are submitted to trust management team meetings.
I should say that Pauline McNeill, who is the MSP for Glasgow Kelvin, intended to attend today's meeting, but was unable to do so as the committee of which she is convener was meeting at the same time.
As the suggested scheme would require £46.5 million from the Scottish Parliament's block grant, it is only fair that MSPs should decide from where in that block grant the money should be taken.

It is for the Net Zero, Energy and Transport Committee to recommend to the Scottish Parliament whether the draft Regulations should be approved. On 10 June 2024, Gillian Martin MSP, then Minister for Climate Action, lodged motion S6M-13568, proposing that the Committee recommends the draft Regulations be approved.
