Together with other self-directed support stakeholders, in control will participate in a round-table event in May, which will develop the strategy with the aim of increasing radically the uptake of self-directed support.I am happy to keep the member informed of those developments. It would perhaps be best to have a meeting after the event in May.

Does she agree with the recent comment of Her Majesty's fire service inspectorate that it would be good practice to install fire sprinklers in hospitals and, if so, does she think that NHS Forth Valley should ensure that the new Larbert hospital complies with that best practice standard? I am aware of the concerns that the member raises.

We have to be realistic about the situation and make the best possible preparations. There is a contingency plan in Scotland for responding to any potential outbreak of bluetongue in Scotland.I am sure that we all agree that it is in all our interests that a vaccine should be made available as soon as possible.
