At present there are eight.We have received written submissions on the matter, we have had a previous discussion and we have correspondence from the Government minister with responsibility for fire services, who has stated that the Scottish Government will not take central action to reduce the number of fire control rooms, and that it is for fire and rescue authorities to determine the best provision, taking into account local control room requirements and standards.One of the petitioners was here earlier today and intimated that he is satisfied with the resolution of the issue.
