The legislation on the reformed canvass that the committee saw a couple of months ago is partly meant to address that issue. If a person has lived in the same property for 20 years, they do not need as intensive a follow-up process from their registration officer because, as long as the data matches and shows that they are living in the same property, it is not as essential for them to be chased up.
