I am sure that the member will be aware—as I am, from conversations and other communications about the centre with the local MSP, Hugh Henry—that Gateside nursery school, which is a Renfrewshire Council centre, currently caters for three children with hearing impairments alongside other local children of nursery age.

Rather than simply placing a summary of those objections in a box file in SPICe, will the Executive consider holding a series of public meetings throughout Scotland at which the issues could be debated openly and the public could be better informed about them? Such meetings would also allow MSPs to be better able to judge the mood of the country on the bill...
