We have already had a reply from the Ministry of Defence, which stated that there are no plans to reconsider the qualifying criteria for this award, and the Scottish Government has done its best—it has raised the matter with the Ministry of Defence, as requested—but it confirmed in its letter of 17 January that it has no power to do any more on this issue.
