The Eaga Partnership, which is the private sector body that will deliver the programme, will be required to advertise the scheme widely. We will ensure that MSPs are kept informed of progress. It is appropriate for members to take up with visitscotland the spending of its marketing budget, but it would be a poor show if we were looking to individual MSPs to carve up marketing budgets for individual nations through the auspices of this chamber.

I want to start by questioning the method of electing a committee convener. If the oldest MSP present does not act her age, and if nobody can guess her age by looking at her, where is the justice in singling her out in this way when she is doing nobody any harm and wants just to totter off quietly into the sunset?
