Vaccines Taskforce and BEIS provided the following commentary that the UK Government has secured early access to 100 million doses of Valneva’s COVID-19 vaccine across 2021 and 2022. The Prime Minister announced at the G7 on 11 June that the UK will donate 100 million surplus COVID-19 vaccine doses within the next year.
Nothing says that it cannot be incremental; it will not all happen on those dates—they are just the dates by which the provision has to be made, without putting too much unreasonable pressure on local authorities and bus companies to comply.
We all understand the delays that can happen once a project starts, but the key issue here is not the end date. The key issue is for the minister to give the green light to the go-ahead start date.

Part 1 modifies the 2024 Act to:
allow local authorities to charge a levy using either a percentage(s) based system or a flat rate/fixed fee model(s);
allow local authorities, when using a fixed fee model, to apply the levy on a ‘per person, per night’ or a ‘per night’ basis;
clarifies that, where the right to reside in accommodation is first purchased by a third party, and then subsequently purchased by another person, the “chargeable transaction” is the initial purchase;
