As of 18 September 2012, the total debt included in all live DPPs, which includes those DPPs which were approved prior to 1 July 2011, was £170 million.
It should be noted that, since go live of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups Scheme on 28 February 2011, forces are required to return 90% of force enquiries within 14 calendar days and the remainder within 21 calendar days.
As part of this, the Scottish Government is seeking views on how problem tenants living within privately rented properties can be more effectively dealt with to help both neighbours and landlords.
