That would also apply to some of the adult protection issues that we were talking about regarding vulnerable people in times of distress who are therefore not in the best position to understand and give informed consent to a search.
It recommends that we should have a consultation on its draft code of conduct and that we should then have a phased introduction as a changeover takes place in how stop and search is undertaken. I think that the best thing for us to do is to listen to that advice and to take it forward.
