Carer’s Allowance (Coronavirus) (Breaks in Care) (Scotland) Amendment Regulations 2021 (SSI 2021/140) The eligibility criteria for Carer’s Allowance was relaxed to take account of the effects of coronavirus by the Carer’s Allowance (Coronavirus) (Breaks in Care) (Scotland) Regulations 2020. Regulation 2 of those Regulations, which delivered the policy intention, was originally due to expire in December 2020 but was extended to 12 May 2021 by SSI 2020/350.
