If a change from the negative to the affirmative procedure is recommended by the sifting process, then the Scottish Government will revoke the Exit SSI already laid and then lay a new affirmative Exit SSI. If the opposite is recommended, namely a change from the affirmative to the negative procedure, the Scottish Government will withdraw the Exit SSI and lay a negative instrument.
