That is not a core business activity for VisitScotland, but it has been an essential activity over the past two years. I am sure that we agree that we need more programmes in schools that teach young people about consent and aim to prevent violence in dating and relationships. I commend the work of Rape Crisis Scotland, which has worked with over 10,000 young people over the past six months on a programme that allows pupils to explore and better understand the issues.
That said, there is a fairly clear emphasis from the evidence that we have gathered to date around the multiple and complex needs surrounding all of this, which must be reflected in whatever legislative change is made.

Scottish local authorities have offered a further 40 properties thus far—we are at a very early stage—which are ready to be matched to 40 more families who have recently arrived in the UK. To date, 18 local authorities have confirmed their commitment to resettlement going forward.
