National Performance Framework: proposed National Outcomes considered by the Health, Social Care and Sport Committee - Cross-cutting policy
The Committee therefore calls on the Scottish Government to set out how it will deliver improved coordination of policy action across the proposed National Outcomes to enable the NPF to become a suitable framework for the multi-faceted, holistic solutions that the health and social care sector needs.

Section 9(1): Power to designate areas as a rent control area and impose rent controls for area;
Section 19(2): Inserted new section 43J(3)(b) of the Private Housing (Tenancies) (Scotland) Act 2016 – power to specify requirements to be fulfilled by rent-increase notice;
Section 19(2): Inserted new section 43L(3) of the Private Housing (Tenancies) (Scotland) Act 2016 – power to prescribe form, fee and manner of intimation of referral to a rent officer;
New section 43O(2)(b) of the Private Housing (Tenancies) (Scotland) Act 2016 – power to prescribe form of request under that section;

Police (Ethics, Conduct and Scrutiny) (Scotland) Bill Stage 1 Report - Accountability
Robin Johnston told the Committee that if the Scottish Government is to adopt a similar approach to that taken in England and Wales, the SPA would expect “every gross misconduct allegation that is made against a former police officer within those time periods [12 months] would be subject to investigation”.

Female participation in sport and physical activity - Ethnicity and religion
As part of its recent scrutiny of institutional racism in Scottish cricket, the Committee received a letter from campaign group Running Out Racism on 24 May 2023 which, beyond withholding funding to sports governing bodies, calls for sportscotland to be able to sanction sports governing bodies as a means of tackling racism and discrimination in sport.
