I understand that last Friday, two receptionists were on duty to cover multiple clinics involving several hundred people before 9 o’clock and they were clearly overwhelmed.Much more disturbingly—and of concern—two patients who were referred to the hospital for diagnosis of potential cancer treatment, having waited two and a half months, were told by their consultant that, if they had lived on the north side of the river, they would have been seen expeditiously in a fraction of the time.
