Introduction
This annual report covers the work of the Public Audit Committee (the Committee) between 13 May 2021 and 12 May 2022.
The Committee's audit work is focused on the scrutiny of reports produced by the Auditor General for Scotland.
The Committee took evidence at its meetings on 7 and 14 December 2021 and on 1 and 8 March 2022. It expects to further explore this issue in the next reporting period.
Following the publication of the draft Scottish Budget 2022-23, the Committee also held an evidence session on 12 January 2022with the Cabinet Secretary for Rural Affairs and Islands and Scottish Government Officials.
