Does that give you confidence that the bill, should it go to a stage 3 vote and be passed, could be implemented sooner rather than later, and certainly within the 12-month implementation date in the bill? We are due to discuss the implementation date.
To take the Sighthill example, the land remediation at Sighthill relates to the fact that there used to be a munitions factory there, which dated back to the French revolution. Some of the projects that we are talking about have been on the shelf before shelves existed.

Provision that levy returns (from accommodation providers to local authorities) should be calculated based on the date of occupancy, rather than the date of booking or payment.
Response from the Social Security Committee
Thank you for your letter of 9 December concerning my Committee's European activities.
To date the Social Security Committee has not engaged in any work that touches on European issues.
That also means that the bill must allow for a change to the date of the Scottish local government elections that are due to be held on 6 May 2021, to 5 May 2022, so that they do not clash with the new date for the Scottish Parliament election.

During its scrutiny of instruments in 2023-24, the Committee identified a total of 50 instruments in which minor points were raised, 49 laid by the Scottish Government and one by the LPPO.
This is in comparison to 2022-23 in which minor points were raised in 31 instruments.
