The 2001 figures are partial, as they include only information on the IACS applications processed so far. Table 3 shows "small producers" for scheme year 2000. These were assumed to be producers who earned a total of €1,250 or less in subsidy payments.
Can the cabinet secretary explain why it takes so long to produce the level 4 figures? I apologise to the committee for the delay in getting that information to you.
As an integral part of the system, we will employ a national statistician, with an assistant, who will produce national and local statistics that we would expect the medical reviewers to be able to use.
