That is a good message to get across to the public, as, collectively, MSPs receive bad publicity about this issue.We have had an interesting discussion.
We might want to encourage as good practice the idea that organisations and individuals could approach whatever MSP they like, but should advise all relevant MSPs of amendments that the body or individual propose.
I am not sure how happily the two groups would sit together, although it might be useful for the MSPs to listen to what the public organisations have to say.
If the individual goes through what we are calling the MSP filter, most MSPs will indicate what the complaints procedures are and strongly recommend that the individual takes that route in the first instance.
