Many of the people whom we support do not desire, and do not see themselves as being in need of, careers advice and so are not necessarily receptive to the package. Therefore, one issue may be marketing of the available advice.

Why cannot we have an employment agency that asks employers whether they have thought about employing a person who uses a wheelchair or who has another disability to work in reception for them? There is no reason why they should not employ such people.

As well as getting people ready for work, we need to have employers who are receptive. The position might vary across the country and there will be various pressure points where there is a focus on seeing the individuals.
