Pre-Budget response from the Cabinet Secretary for Education and Skills

This budget sets out that the Scottish Government will fund £242m towards the cost of pay deals for our teachers, the most recent of which has a cumulative value of 14.6% over 28 months (March 2022-August 2024). As we have said consistently, we have had to reprioritise budget to meet this cost.
