Legislative Consent Memorandum (LCM) on the Tobacco and Vapes Bill - Interaction with devolved competence

The UK Government tabled amendment NC11 to the Tobacco and Vapes Bill. This inserts a new clause into the Bill which extends to Scotland only, and is not considered to be covered by LCM-S6-51.

Stage 1 Report on the Judicial Factors (Scotland) Bill - Section 104 order (covering power to gather information for both judicial factors (section 12) and the Accountant of Court (section 39))

To address this issue, the Scottish Government states in its policy memorandum accompanying the Bill: Most of the Bill provisions need apply only in Scotland, but it is necessary to ensure that provisions which require to have a wider effect will do so.
