Members' Business motions that have not achieved cross party support *S5M-03383 Willie Coffey: Brownings the Bakers, World Champions That the Parliament — congratulates Brownings the Bakers on winning the coveted World Scotch Pie Championships 2017, which were held in Cumbernauld; notes that the Kilmarnock-based bakers saw off almost 100 competitors at the 18th celebration of the annual event to be crowned world champion for the first time; believes that this success marks a new high for the popular bakers, which, in the 2016 championship won a number of awards, including Best Steak Pie and Best Pie in the Scottish Premiership; acknowledges that this success is a result of the hard work put in by Brownings ’ owner, John Gall, and all of his staff across its bakeries in Kilmarnock and Irvine, and wishes the business further success in the future.

I am delighted that the Scottish Parliament is taking time to commemorate again those who were lost in the war and the fight to ensure that the Falkland Islands are British, free and able to choose their future. I acknowledge and welcome Mr Brown’s repeat performance this afternoon and, of course, his service to the Falklands in that conflict.
