As part of an annual review process, the Cabinet Secretary for Health and Wellbeing and the Minister for Public Health and Sport hold NHS boards to account for the services they deliver.
The vaccination programme will not have an immediate impact upon the screening programme given that we will need to continue to offer cervical screening to those women who were out with the age range to receive the vaccine. We will continue to take account of epidemiological and surveillance information when taking decisions about the screening programme.

The Scottish Government is not involved in the delivery of the Encouraging Dynamic Global Entrepreneurs (EDGE) programme, which has been led by Scottish Enterprise, or in consideration of future plans for the scheme which are clearly a matter for the agency itself, taking account of the need to optimise the value and impact of its spend.

The cost of an ECMO machine is approximately £40,000, taking into account fluctuating exchange rates, and an additional £4,000 per patient for required associated consumables.

It is for each NHS board to decide how best to utilise these funds to meet the health care needs of its resident population, including community health services, taking account of national and local priorities.
