The St Andrew’s Day Bank Holiday (Scotland) Act 2007 modified the Banking and Financial Dealings Act 1971 to make St Andrew’s day a bank holiday in Scotland—any holidays that might be regarded as “national” or “public” holidays are, in fact, bank holidays.

Their remit was to identify and co-design solutions for charging infrastructure, en-route charging, technology including batteries and financial products, and looking at vehicle charging in rural, island and urban areas. Having met in 2021 and 2022, the taskforce published Scotland’s Pathway to Zero Emission Buses in summer 2022, showing achievements to date and what remains to be done.
