In respect of under-occupation, DWP intends that local authorities prioritise DHPs to people living in substantially adapted accommodation and foster/kinship carers.
Situations where young families are unable to afford a property that would let them live in and contribute to their community over the course of their lives are fundamentally unsustainable.
I just cannot believe that anyone in the justice system or the legal system would accept those problems and not do anything to resolve them. We are living in 2016: it should not be the case that everyone is highlighting the problems but no one is willing to come forward with a solution.
Will the cabinet secretary set out the steps that will be taken to ensure that care-experienced young people, many of whom are living with complex and multiple trauma, are not failed by fragmented systems but are listened to and believed?
