It is unclear from the Bill how Scotland’s (and the UK’s) net zero ambitions align with the Bill’s subsidy control principles.
One noted receiving good joined-up care from an “excellent” team of health practitioners, and others noted they had received the right care by seeing the right practitioner. 12 Table 2.
The Committee is grateful to all those who took the time to provide oral and written evidence, which has helped to inform the Committee's scrutiny of the Bill.
The majority of the written and oral evidence received during the Committee's Stage 1 scrutiny of the Bill focussed on matters surrounding the intention and possible implications of integrating railway policing into Police Scotland, rather than on the specific provisions contained within the Bill as introduced.
