The Committee considers it would be premature to make recommendations on whether the Bill should or should not contain such a target prior to receiving the advice of the CCC and hearing the Scottish Government's response. However, the Committee notes the Cabinet Secretary's commitment that— "If the UK Committee on Climate Change advises us that a net-zero target is now feasible, in March, April, May or whenever, we will do it."
