Eating Disorders in Scotland - Executive Summary

The Scottish Government provided £42,963 to the eating disorder charity Beat in June 2020 and a further £400,000 in July 2021, from the £5 million allocated to eating disorder services from the Mental Health Recovery and Renewal Fund. The MWC’s report, the Scottish Government’s review, and research by organisations such as Beat have highlighted continued concerns from patients, their families and carers around the level of training on eating disorders provided to the general health workforce.
