I do not think that anybody is happy that tariffs—especially those on the Scottish whisky industry—have increased but, as I understood it from the Scottish whisky industry, sales of Scottish whisky in the US have gone up, despite the tariff rise.
The Committee proposed a collaborative approach and a remit for a joint Scottish Parliament/Scottish Government working group to progress this work and is waiting for confirmation on the remit from the Scottish Government.
