INTRODUCTION
The Fireworks and Pyrotechnic Articles (Scotland) Bill (“the Bill”) and its accompanying documents were introduced in the Parliament by the Minister for Community Safety, Ash Regan MSP ("the Minister"), on 1 February 2022. The Parliament designated the Criminal Justice Committee as the lead committee for Stage 1 consideration of the Bill.
It is estimated that there are about 650 licensed firework retailers operating in Scotland.iPolicy Memorandum
