On the Gourock to Dunoon service, the current contract was due to expire in June 2017 but was extended by nine months, to March 2018. We will make arrangements to extend it by a further nine months, to December 2018.
On the wider prevention agenda, one of the key uses of the additional funding of £20 million from the justice budget that was committed to this by the Scottish Government from March 2015 has been for the prevention of future offending.
Had the development gone ahead it would, of course, have led to the marching of rather large pylons through the Moray countryside and, no doubt, to a lot of concern locally.
