Yesterday, there was a huge piece in The Scotsman—which I know you all read—that talked about the crisis in the film industry and said that MSPs are calling in the film sector. If anyone covers this meeting, especially anyone from The Scotsman or The Herald, I will be gobsmacked.

That consideration will involve accountability and scrutiny, and members have raised concerns that a huge workload will land on them all of a sudden. It is not as if any MSP has been sitting doing nothing for the past few years since the Parliament was established, but there will be a lot more work.

It is also why we need people to scrutinise the approach locally. If a local MSP who dealt with somebody at a surgery did not get satisfaction from a local authority on that case, I would be interested in hearing about that, as I am sure my colleagues would be.

The revelation that military equipment that was made in Fife might have been used against children in Gaza was certainly a shock to me as a Fife MSP. No company in Fife, Scotland or elsewhere in the UK should be supplying the brutal Israeli Government with arms or military equipment.

In that context, I, like others, welcome the Scottish Government's continued investment in superfast broadband and look forward with anticipation to the next announcement of areas set to benefit. Like many other MSPs, I receive regular complaints from constituents about broadband speeds of less than 1 megabit per second.

It is not acceptable for the Legal Aid Board to suggest to members of this committee, the Justice Committee and the wider body of MSPs that there will be a saving to the public purse.
