Supported by: Liam McArthur*, Stuart McMillan*, Miles Briggs*, Annabelle Ewing*, Stephanie Callaghan*, Audrey Nicoll*, Bill Kidd*, Christine Grahame* *S6M-10404 Martin Whitfield: Celebrating 20 Years of Action for Children’s East Lothian New Horizons Housing Service —That the Parliament congratulates Action for Children on hosting an open day to celebrate its 20th anniversary of their East Lothian New Horizons housing service; understands that this service has been providing high-quality supported accommodation to young people from across East Lothian who are homeless, or at risk of becoming homeless; further understands that, via this service, young people have been given a safe, secure, and supportive place to live while accessing counselling, support and practical assistance to achieve long-term solutions in order that they can maintain their own tenancy in the future; considers that the service and its dedicated staff have built excellent partnerships with partners across East Lothian, including housing, health, social work and youth and community groups; welcomes the fact that, over the last 20 years, New Horizons has supported over 400 homeless young people, and wishes the service and the young people it has supported, and will continue to support, all the best...
