We still need to do something about removing the discrimination element that exists in many local authority areas, not just in the community but, in some instances, among councillors, community councillors and MPs in some areas—I hope that it does not exist among MSPs. I have seen it frequently. I can echo that.

It has now been forced to accept that the Ofcom research shows that that is not the case. However, the ITV briefing to MSPs for this debate seems grudging, as it complains about the cost of provision and suggests that demands for Scottish content are political.There is a long way to go and Ofcom must be forceful on the matter.
