We regard this as an urgent priority as it would accelerate the implementation of a number of other recommendations about the Parliament’s engagement with the international human rights system. Recommendation 12: To enable the new mechanism for implementation, reporting and follow-up to adequately track Scotland’s progress against its international obligations, we also ask the Scottish Government to work with the Parliament and the Scottish Human Rights Commission to develop a publicly accessible international treaty monitoring database system for Scotland, including by providing the necessary resources for the creation of such a database.
