Children and young people's mental health in Scotland - School counselling
. £12 million was provided to local authorities in 2019-20 for the delivery of this commitment and a further £16 million has been provided for 2020-21, 2021-22, and 2022-23. The Scottish Government has stated that every secondary school in Scotland now has access to a counsellor.
