Despite the Scottish Government’s confirmation in 2022 that it was in the “initial stages” of scoping a Percentage for the Arts scheme, the Committee has not yet received an update on progress towards establishing the scheme.
After initially hearing from the petitioner in 2022, the RAI Committee wrote to a number of stakeholders, including the Scottish Animal Welfare Commission (SAWC) to ask for views on the welfare of greyhounds racing in Scotland, including views on unlicensed tracks.
The Criminal Justice Committee recommends to the Scottish Parliament that it approve the Coronavirus (Recovery and Reform) (Scotland) Act 2022 (Extension of Temporary Justice Measures) Regulations 2024 [draft].
