To ask the Scottish Government how much has been paid out from the Energy Investment Fund to date. The Energy Investment Fund, and its predecessor Renewable Energy Investment Fund, has made investments of £90.4 million to date.
That expression does not specify either the payment dates within a month, that the payments should be roughly equally spaced apart, how they may be calculated, or who may determine the dates.
For example, we have made more than £130 million available to tackle food insecurity and to ensure free school meal provision during holiday periods, right through to Easter.
That issue was identified a number of weeks ago when the schools returned after the summer holidays. At that point, we took proactive action by engaging directly with local authorities to make sure that they were communicating the need for school pupils to wear face coverings when they are on public transport and at particular locations.
I appreciate that the strikes will be concerning for passengers, particularly as we enter the summer holiday season.
