It is expected that local authorities will work closely with care providers to assess the investment required to ensure payment of the living wage. We are allocating a significant resource towards this shared policy objective and - as per the agreement made with councils this year - it is anticipated that the cost of meeting the living wage will be a shared endeavour between the Scottish Government, councils and providers.

The integration joint board Section 95 officer is responsible for the proper administration of its financial affairs. In terms of the living wage commitment, the Section 95 officer must prepare a budget for approval by the integration joint board that includes an allocation to its local authority partner for social care services that is sufficient to meet the cost of the living wage commitments.

Transparency is vital, so can the First Minister commit to publishing weekly statistics on wastage, so that every drop of vaccine goes to saving lives? We already publish daily statistics of the vaccines that are administered and we publish weekly statistics that have more detail.
